Viking Knit Workshop I &II

All Tools, materials, and metals will be provided. Just bring your lunch and enthusiasm.
What to expect - Viking Knit I:
Student will learn to how to use a viking knit tool. The tool will be yours to take home! This class includes all
materials and supplies. We will be using copper wire. We will spend the day learning how to set up the tool and knit with wire. Variations of adding beads and graduating the wire gauge will be covered. You will learn to make your own end caps from wire and how to make a fun artistic closure.
Fun and easy, all skill levels are welcome!
What to expect - Viking Knit II:
If you have already taken Viking knit I, then you will enjoy learning how to finish your Viking knit in various way. You will need to bring two lengths of premade Viking knit to the class. You will spend your time finishing up the knit with fun end caps and learn some tricks with wire to finish your pieces. Please prepare two ropes of at least 12 inches to use in class.
Workshops are held at my house
located at 2348 Austin Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22911.
The workshops will start at 11
am and run through 5 pm. You should be able to finish your projects or learn with the skills to finish at home.
My studio is located in the
basement of my home, and a flight of stairs must be navigated.
The restroom and kitchen are located one floor up from the
basement.
I have two dogs and a cat.
They will not be in the studio, but they have free reign of my home
upstairs and you should be aware if you have allergies.
Lunch will not be provided. Please pack a lunch and bring
drinks. You will have access to a refrigerator and a microwave.
